PAVAN GROUP AT INTERPACK '08
27/08/2008
At Interpack Pavan Group presented the latest production and process solutions made for pasta, pellets, snacks, breakfast cereals, special products. At the booth there were shown samples of snack pellets which are obtained with steam pre-cooking and are then extruded, as well as others that have visible inclusions of vegetables and fibres suitable to be also expanded with hot air, rather than by frying. These products represent the ideal answer to the request of having a major content of vegetables and fibres, as well a reduced oil content in the snacks. Among the breakfast cereals, besides the typical flakes obtained by extrusion and based on different cereals, Pavan presents its flakes cooked with the traditional process that utilizes steam cookers under pressure. This process is now offered by Pavan, besides the extrusion process with low mechanical stress. As far as the wide pasta field is concerned, Pavan presents gluten-free pasta, based on different types of raw materials, samples of pasta based on particular types of raw materials, such as emmer, as well as instant pasta suitable for Italian-style ready-to-eat meals, based both on semolina, as well as wholemeal flour or even rice.
The range of processes that Pavan has developed and fine-tuned to automatically obtain oriental pasta, is represented by different types of egg noodles, produced on the same automatic line, by some samples of instant ramen that has been dried and not fried, by rice-based bee hoon.
STIAVELLI – PAVAN GROUP
The Stiavelli division, historic packaging brandname, presents various packaging solutions:
- High speed packaging system, specifically for snacks, featuring mod. SPC 14 S check-weighing machines linked to the SVMC/S-Electronic vertical packaging machine;
- Four side seal mod. SVMA-M packaging machines;
- Pillow pack and flat bottom bag mod. SVMC packaging machines;
- Multi-headed check-weigh machines for fragile products mod. SPC 14 B.
As new machine presented, the high speed snack packaging system is a specific machine for snack products and is made up of one multi-head weigher model SPC14S (that keeps the concepts of a standard machine but is customised for snack packaging by re-dimensioning channels, buckets and discharge chutes) and of one continuous vertical packaging machine model SVMC/S-Electronic (with main drives performed by independent brushless motors controlled and synchronised with each other by a smart-drive system; another appreciable feature is the double transversal jaws group especially designed for snack packaging). The vertical packaging machine is also equipped with film drive by vacuum-tight suction, vertical sealer with resistance and rotating band, automatic device for transversal film centering (driving the whole rear part of the machine, including the reel), special junction plate for easier reel change, sensors to stop the machine in case of film break. The packaging system is controlled by an industrial PLC through a single operator interface panel with touch-screen function.
