Graham Packaging to expand Virginia plant

Graham Packaging (US) is to to invest around US$12 million to expand its Altavista, Virginia plastics container manufacturing facility. The plant was originally owned by Owens-Illinois before being acquired by Graham.

The expansion, scheduled for completion in March 2009, will add an extra 60,000 square-feet, effectively doubling the size of the facility.

Graham says that the increased capacity at the site will be used to supply a new customer in Virginia.
