PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL Gears Up For September 2009 Return
Following on from its highly successful inauguration in April 2007, PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL (PPI) 2009 is set to return to the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) venue bigger, bolder and better than ever. Based on exhibitor and visitor feedback from the inaugural event, the 2009 edition is certain to once again attract a global array of leading players active in the region’s fast growing packaging and printing sectors as well as a truly international cross-section of trade visitors.
PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2007 attracted some 18,000 visitors from 60 countries, who were present to sample the latest technologies, products and solutions presented by 285 exhibiting companies hailing from 25 countries. The 15,000-sqm show was also attended by several large delegations from Vietnam, the Philippines and India, and received extremely positive ratings from exhibitors in terms of quality of visitors (98% satisfaction), number of visitors (92%) and participation (92%). Many exhibitors also reported brisk sales during the four-day exhibition.
PPI 2009 will be co-located with a second show of relevance to the industry – TIPREX 2009. This event brings together exhibitors and attendees from the plastic and rubber sectors and will complement those from the packaging and printing sectors. Both TIPREX and PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL are co-organized by their respective industry associations and Messe Düsseldorf Asia. The role of PPI and TIPREX is clearer than ever – to introduce the latest in cutting-edge solutions, technologies and products to Thailand and Southeast Asia’s packaging, printing, plastic and rubber sectors that are playing significant roles in driving the manufacturing sector to greater heights. Both events will be tailored to reflect the markets new needs, competition, technology, channels and other developments.
More reasons to exhibit at PPI 2009?
Here are just some of the many reasons why a presence at PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2009 is indispensable for any company with aspirations to compete successfully in the Asian packaging and printing sectors.
- Asia is the fastest growing market for printing and packaging globally.
- In recent times, Southeast Asia, headed by Thailand and Singapore, has underscored its role as a global player in printing services.
- ASEAN member nations Indonesia and Malaysia are tipped to record print growth of more than 50% by 2011.
- India is the fastest growing print market in Asia — its print sector is forecast to grow 73% by 2011 — and PPI 2007 was well attended by visitors from the subcontinent.
- Increased regional consumer wealth and expanding exports of processed foods and other products have combined to drive demand for increasingly sophisticated, global standard packaging and printing services.
- The primary means for technology-hungry end users of printing and packaging solutions to scope out and source their requirements is trade shows.
Some 300 exhibiting companies from 30 countries are expected to grace the show floor at BITEC with the most advanced packaging processes, manufacturing practices and print technologies. 20,000 trade visitors are expected to visit this important exhibition.
